The Bar Key is found in the boiler room in the basement of the Lakeview Hotel in Silent Hill 2. Although the key is meant to be used to unlock the door of the "Venus Tears" Bar, there is but one obstacle, as the bar suffers from little lighting, and upon examination, James Sunderland will be unable to locate the keyhole for the door. This can be solved after opening the unmarked can in the bar's kitchen, which contains a plethora light bulb that can be used to replace an old bulb for a lamp in the bar. This lamp, when replaced with a bulb, will switch back on and light up the keyhole, allowing exit of the bar.
