At the age of 20, Carrie-Anne got her start as a model. In Spain, she landed her first acting gig in the show Dark Justice. Appearing in various commercials in the meantime, she played "Trinity" in The Matrix and its following sequels. After working on The Matrix, she starred in Red Planet, Memento, The Crew, and various other films. She voiced the character Aria in Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. She is the lead role in the Lifetime Television pilot called Normal. She also has an upcoming role in Compulsion which is set to be released in 2013.
In 2000 she won an Independent Spirit Award for best supporting actress for her role in Christopher Nolan's movie Memento. She also won the Empire Award for Best Newcomer in 2000.
She is married to actor Steven Roy and the couple have three children together, named Owen, Jaden, and Frances.
