Carroll Street is one of the streets in the South Vale region of Silent Hill. The street is first seen in Silent Hill 2 and later seen in Silent Hill 3. Carroll street is most known for Heaven's Night and Brookhaven Hospital as well as the Texxon Gas station at its north end.
Silent Hill 2[]
In Silent Hill 2, James Sunderland must go down Carroll Street in pursuit of Laura. The street's north end, however, is cut off; and the only way he can access the street is by going through the Heaven's Night gentleman's club. With Maria's help, James is able to go through the club and they eventually reach Brookhaven Hospital. The two enter the hospital, still trying to catch up to Laura, unaware of the dangers they are about to encounter inside.
By going further down Carroll Street, James can also access Rendell Street. Rendell Street, however, is blocked at the west and provides no exit from South Vale.
Silent Hill 3[]
In Silent Hill 3, the hospital on Carroll Street is visited once more. Heather Mason must take the same path as James did in order to reach Brookhaven Hospital. The street appears unchanged, excluding the myriad of monsters that stand in Heather's way.
Trivia[]
- A majority of the street names used in the Silent Hill franchise are named after specific people in real life. Carroll Street was most likely a tribute to fantasy author Jonathan Carroll.
- The street could be also named after Jennifer Carroll.
