Danny is a man from New Orleans whose corpse can be seen in the third room of the Borley Haunted Mansion in Silent Hill 3. The corpse initially appears to be fake, but upon close examination, Heather Mason will realize that it's real.
According to the mansion's narrator, Danny came to Borley after losing his way, and became a victim of the forces of the Otherworld. It is also possible that he was killed by the spiked ceiling in the second room. This is explained by Danny's corpse as his head and shoulders have multiple blood stains. If Heather doesn't duck in Hard Mode, she will be killed by the spikes, thus giving a logical explanation for Danny's death.
