Gans County is a fictional location found in the continuity of the Silent Hill film. The county is most likely named after director Christophe Gans. Its exact location is unknown.

In 1992, a child was kidnapped from Gans County, killed and cut up by his attacker, and then dropped down a mine vent in Silent Hill. Thomas Gucci said that Cybil Bennett had stayed with the boy for 3 days until rescue arrived but it was too late. With this tragedy in mind, it seems likely that Gans County is relatively close to Toluca County and the town of Silent Hill.
