The Hillside Apartments are located in Silent Hill and appear in Silent Hill: Downpour. The apartments are on Lansdale Avenue in the Hillside area.
The apartments serve as gateway from Hillside into Pearl Creek and has three floors. The player will enter the building via a window on the second floor and can then use the exit on the ground floor, leading to Pearl Creek.
Aside from its primary purpose, the quest "Stolen Goods" can be started here. On the third floor, there will a door with a letter on it; inside the room, a hanged body will be found, accompanied by a box with four stolen items under the bed. These are a money box, locket, medal, and watch. These can be returned to their rightful places in the apartment to put the residents' souls to rest and in order to finish the sidequest.
Also, a painting can be found in a room on the ground floor. It is directly opposite a rocking chair and is part of "The Art Collector" sidequest.
Different weapons will appear inside the building if the player has opened any of the three green lockers and unlocked their bonus weapons, such as a rifle appearing in the same apartment where the painting is found, and a baseball bat appearing in the crying child's bedroom.
