Hinako Shimizu (深水 雛子, Shimizu Hinako) is a character appearing in Silent Hill ƒ.[4] She is a high school student living in Ebisugaoka.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
Hinako Shimizu is the player character of the video game Silent Hill ƒ, portrayed by Konatsu Kato.[6][7] Scenario writer Ryukishi07 chose a female protagonist because he noticed a pattern in Silent Hill media of women enduring a significant amount of suffering. He wanted a female character that would have a sense of agency amid her struggles as opposed to "[being] pulled along by the story." Concept artist kera designed her physical appearance.[8]
