A Meat Cleaver is a melee weapon found in Silent Hill: Origins, Silent Hill: Downpour, and Silent Hill: Book of Memories.
Silent Hill: Origins[]
Travis Grady finds the cleaver in The Family Butcher and Riverside Motel's kitchen. Like all melee weapons in Origins, it breaks after some use and possess a short attack range, but inflicts considerable damage. During confrontations with the game's various monsters, Travis will attack an enemy by lashing the cleaver side-to-side and will impale the enemy once it has fallen. The meat cleaver is not to be confused with the Great Cleaver.
Silent Hill: Downpour[]
Murphy Pendleton finds the cleaver in various locations throughout Silent Hill, though most notably the kitchens. It is a more powerful version of the knife, but noticeably slower to swing. It has a fair damage-infliction capability and durability.
