The Nailgun is a special weapon Murphy Pendleton can equip in Silent Hill: Downpour, attained by either pre-ordering the game or completing certain tasks in-game, usually being founded in various green lockers requiring a code. Once the player has the pre-order code (171678), subsequent lockers will then hold the nailgun and the double-headed axe; this is the easiest route to obtaining the gun, however the weapon can still be found without it by aforementioned exploring and clue gathering. The nailgun is weak, but easy to shoot and has a 20 round magazine. Its damage is on par with the base level handgun (three-six hits to kill a Screamer).
Trivia[]
- Unlike other weapons, the nailgun cannot be dropped once it is held, due to a glitch in the game. Instead, Murphy will clip it to his belt for later use.
