Pleasant River is a town or city seemingly located southeast of Silent Hill. At some point in his past, Walter Sullivan was a student attending the University of Pleasant River. Bobby Randolph, Sein Martin, and Jasper Gein, three youths with strong interests in the occult, particularly the myths and mystery surrounding the Order, were also from Pleasant River.

The town is named after the river that runs through that feeds into Toluca Lake. It is an area in Silent Hill: Downpour located to the north.
The area is mostly residential, but has a small harbor next to the river and a large bridge which connects to the Port District. With the area being residential, there are some houses which Murphy Pendleton can enter. Near the entrance to the harbor is the house of a recently deceased woman, while to the southeast is a house with the remains of a heartless inmate.
