Rachel was Mary Sunderland's and Laura's nurse mentioned in Silent Hill 2. She lives in South Ashfield Heights in the city of Ashfield.
She is more heavily spoken of in Silent Hill 4: The Room as another possible connection between James and Frank Sunderland, however her name is mysteriously spelled "Rachael" in opposition to the second installment. It is unknown if this is simply a typo or continuity error. In Silent Hill 4: The Room, a nurse uniform with her name on it can be found in Room 106.
It is implied that Rachael was in love with a painter, who lived in Room 202; however, the man from Room 301 named Mike stalked her. Frank Sunderland mistakenly thought Mike was Rachel's boyfriend.

- There is a possibility Rachael works at St. Jerome's Hospital.
- By observing the artwork done by Rachael's actual boyfriend, it is discovered that Rachael wasn't very interested in cooking.
- In the audio cassette tape "Skinned Mike", in which Richard Braintree berates Mike, a woman can be heard talking. This may be Rachael.
- In Rachel's apartment room, there is a nurse uniform akin to a nurse from Silent Hill 3.
