The Rock is a weapon in Silent Hill: Downpour. As with all melee weapons found in game, it has limited durability and will break after extended use. Murphy Pendleton can find one almost anywhere outside. The Rock is one of the most common weapons in the game, however it lacks power and also breaks fairly easily. Although it can be used at close range, it is far better utilized when thrown. If Murphy is surrounded by rocks, he can easily pick off monsters from a distance with no risk to himself, provided Murphy has enough ammunition and space to do so.
