Hands[]
This is a stretch, and i know there isn't anything in the game that point to this, but could the hand on her genitals point to sexual abuse? I won't add anything to the article because i have no evidence but could it be possible. Annoying Ninja
I've played through Homecoming twice, read through all the memos on this website, and read her wiki page. I don't see anything, from the memos, through Elle's dialog, or from Margaret's mouth that implies that she was abused by her mother. Unlike the Fitches and the Barletts (Who treated them better than the average kid) or Alex (They neglected him), she treated the task of killing her daughter like it is a natural part of life. She probably didn't treat Nora any different than how she treated Elle. The hands more likely only represent how she was murdered. I'm going to delete for now. Strangulation or Smothering?[]
Was it mentioned in the game that Nora was actually strangled? They had to sacrifice her by suffocation, and based on Asphyxia's appearance I would imaging she was smothered. Mechanoise 23:39, April 19, 2012 (UTC)
- In the scene where Margaret reveals her intentions, there's a flashback of her with her arms stretched out and the camera squirming (as if the player was Nora), and she says "I watched the light fade from Nora's eyes as I took her life." So yeah, Nora was suffocated by her mother's hands and not with an object such as a pillow. —AlexShepherd ツ 23:50, April 19, 2012 (UTC)
- Cheers for the clarification, it's been a while since I played it, but I meant smothering with the hands. There's every chance she could have put her hand over her mouth and nose, and the hands around Asphyxia's neck suggest she could have been smothered, as they cover over her mouth, (though it's likely to be a metaphor). - No problem. Doesn't really matter to me. Also, it'd be much harder to suffocate someone by covering their mouth and nose, rather than clutching their neck, and Nora is heard desperately trying to break free, so it's more likely that Margaret was holding her neck. —AlexShepherd ツ 00:04, April 20, 2012 (UTC)

Wrath/Guilt/Memory?[]
Are we sure that the ritual victim bosses are manifestations of the parents' memories? It seems more likely that it's a wrath manifestation of the children themselves.
Margaret didn't have any guilt over her daughters' death.
Fitch wanted forgiveness, and yes, he wanted his daughter back, but what i mean is that he probably liked to think of his daughter as a much sweeter...whatever.
Sam, well, i dunno. But Children's Wrath>Parents' Memories seems more likely to me.
The Human Centiede?[]
Well, this thought's always lingered in my mind, but I'm on neutral ground about it. Still thought I'd bring it up, though. Now it's a definite to me that Asphyxia must've been influenced by the caterpillar in Alice In Wonderland with her love of the story and each boss dealing with an infatuation of each child's, but does anyone think it's possible The Human Centipede could've been a bit of inspiration for her design? The concept is similar and it's a notorious horror film with just how grotesque it is (pretty much everyone's at least heard of it), and this is only an assumption, but via observing Kenzie's deviantART he appears to enjoy morbid art. This isn't any sort if revelation or anything, but I think it's at least a possibility worth considering. -~→• 0ZZ₭₳T; ♥
- Homecoming came out in 2008, and The Human Centipede in 2010, making it extremely unlikely. As well, it's extremely obvious Asphyxia was influenced by the Caterpillar, since Nora is shown reading Alice in one of the photographs, and Josh blatantly writing that Nora likes the Caterpillar. It's obvious they were going for a human caterpillar, not centipede. I'd rather Silent Hill not be compared to that shock movie.
