So wait.. []

On Carol's page it states that the reason for Murphy and Carol's divorce was because Murphy wanted revenge for his son's murder. However, if you visit Murphy's page, it says that Carol didn't know that he purposely imprisoned himself to seek revenge, and the divorce was AFTER Murphy went to prison. Isn't it more accurate to say that the divorce was caused because Murphy couldn't deal with the grief (even with counselling), and he then imprisoned himself (without Carol knowing) which finalized the divorce? I'm a little confused. I wanted to change the information on the page, but I'm not sure which is more correct or how to word it. Any advice or speculations?

I would say the reason for their dissolution would be because she blamed Murphy for Charlie's death, which cut Murphy deeply. He then took revenge on Napier.

In the memo that's found in the Overworld Prison she does state that Murphy failed and that it is his fault for everything in her life (in a nutshell). So perhaps it's accurate to say that she blamed Charlie's death on Murphy (not being able to cope with it herself), which drove Murphy to prison. Carol maybe misinterpreted this as a form of "running away" from his problems and promptly divorced him, without really realizing his intentions?

The letter Murphy finds from her specifically states she left him because she blamed him for not protecting Charlie from Napier. I don't know where the idea that she left because of his desire for revenge even comes from. AlessaGillespie Talk Contributions 23:34, August 11, 2013 (UTC)
