This is a subject that's been bothering me for awhile now. I keep hearing that there's something phallic about the Numb Body, but I just don't see it. Having a phallus myself, you'd think something like this would be obvious. It can't be that it's a partially cylindric limb- arms and legs are also formed from tubes, as are necks. Can someone explain the phallus'ness to me? Or is there perhaps an official source that claimed this? Robert Orville Berkshire 02:35, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

The best go-to source on the subject, the Book of Lost Memories, makes no mention of any phallic representation. I'd say this idea comes from the cylindrical head and eye-like structure in the center. --TheGoodman 09:45, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
A little late to the conversation, but I agree it's unfounded. Was tempted to remove it, but I hate to stifle interpretations assuming that I know better than others in this regard. I do feel sorry for the person who posted it if they really think it looks like a penis... God isn't always generous. -- Shoggoth1890 19:50, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

While playing the game, I noticed that the larger Numb Bodies will deflate upon their deaths, similar to the Insane Cancer. Xeno the Hedgehog 01:50, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Not sure how to word this on the main page. I noticed that the cries of the numb body resemble distortions of a baby crying. There are two types of cries it makes while alive, "aWAA aWAA!" and an occasional higher pitched "waaa". This seems to lend credence to it being a representation of the unborn god being down but not out. Thoughts? -- Shoggoth1890 19:35, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

I really don't know, but those cries scare the living hell outta me :P

There is a bloody skin where there should be a face.

Human or Animal ?

Despite the fact Numb bodies look like tadpods, we can also see them as humanoid creatures leaning down with under-developed arms. The mouth is just a gap on the top of their head and large numb bodies present a lack of face if we look closely (under their head) their face appear to be scratched.CarlJohnson777 (talk) 13:56, May 27, 2015 (UTC)CarlJohnson
