I think silent hill 2, 4 and homecoming should be placed in "other games". They are actually spin-offs, and not sequels, or prequels in Origin's case, of the main series. I believe this should be changed, any apposing thoughts? -- 050294 03:17, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

I believe they are still part of the main series, even if they aren't related to the original story. Silent Hill 2, for example, may not actually be related to the events of the first game, but it is still an "indirect sequel" (a sequel that doesn't continue from the same story as its predecessor). An example is the Final Fantasy series. Each one is an indirect sequel from the previous game, not a spin-off of Final Fantasy I. I believe the same thing applies to the Silent Hill games. Even Final Fantasy has spin-offs though, like Crystal Chronicles and Dissidia. If you look at the Final Fantasy wiki, each sequel is in the main series, even if it takes place in a completely different universe with different characters and a different story. I hope this clears up some things! AlexShepherd 03:40, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Since many people know the series from the movie, I think a link to that should be added, if everyone agrees. AlessaGillespie 02:10, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

If we go that route, it would only be logical to link to the comic as well, cluttering up the template. If someone wants to give it a shot though, they are welcome to. I'd hold off, however. If future films are released, we can always create a template for them specifically. --TheGoodman 09:46, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
EDIT: On second thought...with the three short films, plus the motion picture...I'd say we have enough content to warrent a separate template. Thoughts? --TheGoodman 09:47, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
