  • Do you think the later games should have a 10 star ranking system too? It might be fun, but I don’t know. Obviously hypothetical.

    • They removed the star ranking after homecoming came in. I don't know why. :( Or they may have ran out of ideas for rank requirements. As you can see on SH4, requirements were decreased severely..

    • I personally have no interest in stuff like that or the elitist culture that always tends to spring up around this kind of stuff, but there's no reason they shouldn't have done it. More options are always good for players. Personally, I'm still waiting for the game that flips the script and only gives you the best items or best endings by playing on the easiest difficulty settings.

    • I like achievements and stuff like that, personally, so I’m not against it. Plus, unlocking bonus weapons is cool. Bob, about giving easiest levels the best stuff: wouldn’t that lose motivation to continue playing? If you unlocked the best parts first, what’s next?

    • Enjoying the game, for one. I still play lots of games that I've beaten fairly thoroughly because I just like to play them. Besides, if you're the kind of person who needs to play on easy mode, doesn't it make more sense to give them the best items to compensate for their lack of skill in the first place?

    • @ CasticV I wish Homecoming had stars. As far as I know, the only things that affect endings or results are shooting or not shooting the mom, forgiving or not forgiving the dad, and saving Wheeler (or not).

    • I'd say only the ending will affect the result. Shooting the mom or not and forgiving the dad or not or saving wheeler or not seems kinda too far. So what it's going to go like this?

      Wheeler saved                             No

      Forgived Dad                               No

      Shot Mom                                    Yes

    • I don't get what you mean by "kinda too far." Also, from what I've seen, shooting mom but not saving/pardoning others gives you the Drowning ending.

    • Reminds me of "In Water" ending in SH2 where james kills himself by drowning.

yeah, thats a fair connection. Alex's drowning more directly connects to Josh's death I think, and this one isn't voluntary, but agreed. Honecoming and 2 have a lot in common
