homecoming woes

So I'm playing Homecoming, but had to go through the graveyard without a map. and then all the progress saved to my brother's account. and then the game didnt save when I got to a new chapter. what game doesn't do that?? So, fuck me apparently. Do I start over on Nightmare on my own account or just refinish Missing Persons on my brothers and move on again?
