Lyrics[]
Your gentle voice I hear
Your words echo inside me
You said you long for me
And that you love me
And I want to see you too
Feels just like I'm falling
Is there nothing I can do?
Wonder if you hear my calling
I'm here and waiting for you
Where are you?
I can't find you
I'm here and waiting for you
I'll wait forever for you
Mom's gone to heaven now
Why won't she come back down?
Does she have someone she loves more than me?
I thought I could love you better
We were always together
If we took some time apart
You would finally know my heart
I'm here and waiting for you
Where are you?
I can't find you
I'm here and waiting for you
I'll wait forever for you
I fell in love with you and now you're gone
There's nothing left within my lonely room without you
I'm here and waiting for you
Where are you?
I can't find you
I'm here and waiting for you
I'll wait forever for you
I'm here and waiting for you
Where are you?
I cannot
I cannot find you
I'm waiting for you
Where are you?
Where are you?
Trivia[]
- The song may be a reference to the late Mary Shepherd-Sunderland, who waited for her husband James Sunderland as she was ill and stuck in the hospital. Mary supposedly sends James a letter, telling him she is waiting in Silent Hill, in the second game. Alternatively, it could be from Walter Sullivan's point of view, and the longing for his mother, or Eileen Galvin's point of view, and her not knowing what had happened to Henry during the beginning of the game, perhaps worrying over him.
- The song is supposedly sung live at Heaven's Night, which is a strip joint that Maria resides in. It could be theorized that it is actually Maria singing, due to the lyrics that appear to refer to Mary's letter to James. Moreover, due to the redubbing of the voices from Silent Hill 2 in Silent Hill HD Collection, Maria is now voiced by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, which makes the link even clearer.
- The song is made as if it was a concert. At the end of the song, people are cheering and the mandolin part from the first Silent Hill theme begins as if the concert was continuing.
- From 4:11 to 4:30, the melody is pretty similar to Theme of Laura (2:02-2:25), another hint to Silent Hill 2.
- As an in-joke, Mira is credited with playing guitar on this track.
- The song was featured in Konami's Karaoke Revolution Volume 3.
